I help students make sense of difficult ideas—and become more confident working through them on their own.

I’m Ben Cheong, the founder of ChicagoBright. My background in computer science and history shapes how I teach: careful reasoning, clear explanations, and room to ask why.

I pay attention to how a student thinks, where they get stuck, and what helps an idea click. That understanding guides our work together, whether we’re preparing for a test or untangling a difficult class.
